- - Concentrations: During the first two renewal periods, samples were collected at t = 0 from bulk preparations of each test concentration, dilution water control and solvent control and at 48 or 72 h from pooled samples of each test concentration, dilution water control and solvent control. Thereafter, samples were analysed once per week from bulk preparations of each concentration level and from the corresponding pooled samples at the end of the relevant exposure period. Each sample was collected from the approximate midpoint of the test vessel with a pipet.

Additional information
The long-term effects of the test substance towards Daphnia magna were investigated in a 21-day semi-static life cycle test following GLP and EPA OPP 72-4 guidelines. Based on mean measured concentrations of the test substance (measured values were in the range of 74 – 153% of nominal values), a NOEC (21d) of 0.4 mg/L and a LOEC of 1.3 mg/L were determined.
