Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

dissociation constant
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance has no ionic structure

Description of key information

Performance of a test that determines the dissociation constant was waived as the substance 1,1-bis(tert-butylperoxy)cyclohexane cannot dissociate due to lack of ionisable groups.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Due to the lack of ionisable groups, a determination of a dissociation constant is not meaningful. In addition, the substance is not stable in water and testing is technically not possible due to the low water solubility (2.1 mg/L) of the test item. Thus, testing of dissociation constant is technically not feasible.
