Description of key information

Stability

The test substance was determined to be hydrolytically stable at 20 °C and pH 7 in a Tier 2 study. The half-life was estimated to be 149 days. The half-life of the test item at environmental temperature (12 °C) was calculated to be 282.6 d.

Biodegradation

In a weight of evidence approach, the test item is considered to be degradable, but not fullfilling the readily biodegradable criteria.

Transport and distribution

Using the HPLC method the adsorption coefficient (Koc and Log Koc) of the test item was estimated to be 488 and 2.69, respectively.

Henry's Law Constant

The Henry Laws Constant of the test item was estimated with EpiSuite. Based on the structural elements a value of 65.3 Pa.m³/mol was calculated. Based on the experimental phys-chem properties of the test item - water solubility (2.1 mg/L) and vapour pressure (488 Pa at 25 °C), a value of 60500 Pa.m³/mol was calculated.

In conclusion, the Henry Laws Constant calculated from the experimentally obtained phys-chem properties, clearly shows that the test item is highly volatile.
