Description of key information
In accordance with section 2 of REACH Annex XI, the activated sludge respiration inhibition testing (required under information point 9.1.4 of Annex VIII) cannot be conducted as a consequence of the physical properties of the substance.
The material is a bulk metal and as such cannot be used for toxicity testing in this form. A powder form of the test material can be generated; however this reacts in water to emit flammable gases. Consequently, the powder form is also unsuitable for toxicity testing.
