Endpoint:
tap density
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2012-02-10 to 2012-02-10
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: CIPAC MT 169 Tap Density of Water Dispersible Granules, CIPAC Handbook Volume F, 1995
Deviations:
no
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The test item was put into a glass measuring cylinder of known weight which was then risen and allowed to fall vertically through a distance of 2.5 cm on to a rubber pad. The operation was repeated 50 times and the final volume of powder was measured. Tap density is the apparent density of a bed of test item formed in a container of standard dimensions when a specified amount of test item is tapped under standard conditions.
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
other: tap density
