Additional information

NA-DETA is a brown, viscous liquid.

According to OECD102 study the melting point of NA-DETA is 13±3°C.

According to OECD103 study the boiling point of NA-DETA is 325±20°C at 101.9 kPa under decomposition.

According to OECD109 study the density of NA-DETA is 1.08 ± 0.02 g/cm^3 at 25°C and the relative density is D420 = 1.08 ± 0.02.

According to OECD104 study the vapour pressure of NA-DETA is 1.4x10^-7 hPa at 20°C and 2.5x10^-7 hPa at 25°C and 2.9x10^-6 hPa at 50°C.

According to OECD107 study the log pow of NA-DETA is 1.8.

According to ISO4311 the critical micelle concentration of NA-DETA is 0.012 ± 0.001 g/L at 20°C. As the substance is surface active (OECD115, s. IUCLID Chapter 4.10) this value should be taken as the water solubility for ecotoxicological purposes.

According to OECD115 study the surface tension of NA-DETA is 42.4 ± 0.2 mN/m at a concentration of 90% of the saturation concentration at 20°C.

According to ISO 2719 study the flash point of NA-DETA is 144 ± 2 °C at 101.9 kPa.

According to EU A.15 study the auto flammability of NA-DETA is 355 °C.

There are no structural alerts within NA-DETA and great experience in handling and use give evidence that no Pyrophoricity and Flammability on contact with water properties give any concern. For liquids the Flammability is described by the Flash Point. The Flash Point of the substance is 144 ± 2 °C.

NA-DETA has no explosive properties according to EU A.14.

NA-DETA is a is considered to have no oxidising properties as there are no halogen or oxygen atoms bond to nitrogen or oxygen.

NA-DETA is a is considered to be stable in organic solvents.

According to ISO 1262 study the pH of NA-DETA is 10.5 (1% water/ethanol 1:1).

According to OECD114 study the viscosity of NA-DETA is 282.1 ± 7.1 Pa.s (dynamic, 20°C) / 17.8 ± 0.5 Pa.s (dynamic, 40°C).
