The aquatic bioaccumulation of tributyl citrate was predicted by means of the computer program BCFBAF v3.01 (by US-EPA) using two different models. The regression-based estimate (traditional method) resulted in a bioconcentration factor (BCF) of 94.7 L/kg wet-wt and the Arnot-Gobas method (based on mechanistic first principles) resulted in a BCF of 6.54 L/kg wet-wt. The substance specific LogPow of 3.5 was taken into account for these predictions.

Terrestrial bioaccumulation is not a relevant endpoint of a registration under REACH at a tonnage band of 100 - 1000 tonnes.
