Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A limit test on Desmodesmus subspicatus according to OECD guideline 201 conducted with a loading rate of 10 mg/L did not reveal any effects on algal growth rate. The ErC10, ErC20 and ErC50 are > 10 mg/L (nominal).

In a disregarded 72 hour acute toxicity study, the cultures of Scenedesmus subspicatus were exposed to the test item at nominal concentrations of 0, 1.23, 3.7, 11, 33 and 100 mg/L under static conditions in accordance with the EEC guideline 87/302 (1987).  The NOEbC and EbC50 values based on cell number were < 1.23 mg/L and 19.8 mg/L, respectively.
