Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No long-term effect on aquatic invertebrates up to the limit of the water solubility of Fatty Acid Glycerides was observed (NOEC ≥ water solubility).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The available long-term study with Daphnia magna (read across with: Decanoic acid, ester with 1,2,3-propanetriol octanoate, CAS No. 65381-09-1) was conducted according to OECD guideline 211 (Daphnia magna reproduction test) under semi-static conditions over 21 days. Due to the low water solubility of the test substance (< 0.01 mg/L), the test solutions (1 and 100 mg/L) were filtered after stirring for at least 16 hours. The measured concentrations of both test solutions were mainly < 0.05 mg/L. In one case higher concentrations were measured, showing an incomplete separation of undissolved test substance. No effect on Daphnia magna was observed in both test solutions (NOEC ≥ 0.01 mg/L) up to the limit of the water solubility of the test substance.

Thus, no effect on aquatic invertebrates up to the limit of the water solubility for all category members Fatty Acid Glycerides is assumed.
