Description of key information

The estimation of the adsorption coefficient (KOC) of CH0222 WP30 using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was found to be not feasible. Therefore a calculation has been made according to REACH guidance.

Log Koc calculations from log Kow are advised in the R7a chapter of REACH guidance.

In particular, Sabljic & Güsten, 1995 are cited and propose an equation for Triazines:

log Koc = 0.30 log Kow + 1.50

However, the results such obtained have to be taken with caution, as the equation was based on data from only 16 substances and r2 was 0.32 only.

With this equation, WP30 log Koc could be > 4.05, and possibly around 4.65 (from log Kow values > 8.5 and around 10.5).
