Results and discussion
Water solubility
- Water solubility:
- < 0.97 mg/L
- Temp.:
- 20 °C
- pH:
- 6.7
Any other information on results incl. tables
After the stirring period, undissolved test substance was observed in the test sample. From this, it was concluded that the water solubility of 1,6-hexanediyl-bis(2-(2-(1-ethylpentyl)-3-oxazolidinyl)ethyl)- carbamate at 20 °C was <0.97 mg/l.
Some decomposition of the test substance likely had occurred during the test, but this cannot be avoided due to the nature of a water solubility study. Therefore this result was accepted as the best possible.
The pH of the aqueous sample was 6.7.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- Interpretation of results (migrated information): other: Insoluble (<1mg/l)
The water solubility at 20 °C was <0.97 mg/l. - Executive summary:
The water solubility was measured according to the OECD Guideline 105. The water solubility was visually determined. Due to the instability of the test substance in water it was not possible to develop a quantitative method.
