Test guideline
- Qualifier:
- no guideline followed
- Deviations:
- no
- Principles of method if other than guideline:
- A powder sample of Alkanox P-EPQ (CAS# 119345-01-6, lot# PB002949) was analyzed as received through a #120 (125 μm opening) and a #170 (90 μm opening) sieve. The experiment used a modified version of “Control Test G-32-A Dry Screens”, Uniroyal Chemical Company, Inc., Naugatuck, CT. The sieve screens were visually inspected and found to be free from tears, holes, or other defects. Each sieve and the pan were weighed empty. A 101.79 g sample of P-EPQ was weighed into the top screen of a set of sieves consisting of a top #120 sieve, a middle #170 sieve, and a bottom pan. The top sieve was capped and gently shaken and tapped by hand for 1-2 minutes. The sieves were then placed in a Gilson 8 Inch Sieve Shaker and shaken for 5 minutes. They were removed from the shaker and each sieve and the pan reweighed.
