Description of key information

In an acute aquatic toxicity study performed in accordance with OECD guideline 203 and GLP, zebra fish (Brachydanio rerio) were exposed to ALIMET at concentrations of 0 (blank), 100, 180, 320, 580 or 1000 mg (active ingredient)/L (nominal) for 96 hours under semi-static conditions. The test was performed with and without pH adjustment. LC50 (= EC50) in the test without pH adjustment at 96 hours was calculated to be 385.9 mg/L. LC50 (= EC50) in the test with pH adjustment at 96 hours was calculated to be 240.0 mg/L.  The NOEC is 180 mg/L.
