Additional information

In water, titanium tetrachloride rapidly hydrolyses to titanium dichloride and hydrochloric acid. Both hydrolysis products are naturally present in the environment, and titanium dioxide is practically insoluble. Short-term studies are available for fish (Fundulus heteroclitus) and the aquatic invertebrate Daphnia magna. For both organisms, the EC50 values were above the highest tested concentrations 100 and 1000 mg/L.
