Additional information

In water, titanium tetrachloride rapidly hydrolyses to the naturally occuring titanium dioxide and hydrochloric acid. The toxicity of titanium dioxide was tested by Haley and Kurnas in a static test with Daphnia magna, conducted according to the guideline EPA 660/8-87/011. The EC50 value after 48 hours was determined to be greater than 1000 mg/L (Haley and Kurnas, 1993).
