Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

OECD 303A Sewage treatment plant simulation test
For the registration substance no Sewage treatment plant simulation test according OECD 303A is available. Instead an OECD 303A test with 14C Glucamide 12 was carried out but no substance specific analysis was applied. Therefore only the 14C elimination but not the substance specific elimination could be determined. Because of this shortcoming the study is disregarded in the environmental safety assessment of the registration substancd..Instead a valid study available for Oleyl glucamide (Glucamide 18,18u) was used as read across. The overall elimination of the carbon chain length homologue Oleyl glucamide in sewage treatment plant simulation test according OECD 303A carried out with 14C labelled test substance was measured to be 99%. The mass balance was: 1% to effluent (measured), 3.8% to activated sludge (measured) and 95.2% biodegraded (calculated from values before).
OECD 314C Anaerobic biodegradation test
For the registration substance no anerobic biodegradation test is available. But 14C Glucamide 12 was rapidly biodegraded under anaerobic condition with a half-life 2-6d and this result is used for the registration substance as well.
