Results and discussion

Results: P0 (first parental generation)

Details on results (P0)

Increased food intake in males. In females decreased food intake and weight loss was reported prior and during pregnancy when given 351.4 mg/kg bw (relative) and 1669.1 mg/kg bw (relative and absolute).
No dose dependent change in conception rate and gestation length. A reduction of implantations and embryo losses after implantation were reported.
Litter size from test group 4 (1669.1 mg/kg bw in females) was reduced. Litter size from test group 3 (351.4 mg/kg bw in females ) was also reduced but still within the range of the historical laboratory control data.

Results: F1 generation

Details on results (F1)

A decrease in average weight was reported in litter from groups 4 (1669.1 mg/kg bw in females and 1137.6 mg/kg bw in males) and 3 (351.4 mg/kg bw in females and 224.2 mg/kg bw in males) after 21 days of lactation. No structural abnormalities compared with controls have been reported.
