Description of key information

In a Manometric Respirometry test (OECD 301F) the test item was not readily biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Two studies on the biodegradation in water were performed. In the first study (Bayer, 1999) according to EEC Directive 84/449/EEC C.4 "Manometric Respirometry Test" 0 % was biodegradable within 28 days, at a concentration of 100 mg/L. The results show that the compound is not readily biodegradable. The same results could be observed in the second study (Institute of Ecotoxicology, Japan, 2005). In this test according to the OECD-Guideline No. 301 C "Modified Miti Test" 1 % was biodegradable within 28 days at a concentrations of 100 mg/L. The results show that the compound is not readily biodegradable.
