Administrative data
First-aid measures
After Inhalation : In the event of exposure to high concentrations of dust :
- Move the affected person away from the contaminated area and into the fresh air.
- Give artificial respiration if necessary.
After Skin contact :
- Remove by wiping.
- Remove all contaminated clothing and footwear.
- Rinse immediately with plenty of water.
- If case of redness or irritation, call a doctor.
After Eye contact :
- Rinse immediately and thoroughly, pulling the eyelids well away from the eye (15 minutes minimum). Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
- Always consult an eye specialist, even if there are no immediate symptoms.
After Ingestion :
- Rinse mouth with water
- Call medical assistance immediately and show a copy of the material safety data sheet.
2. Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed:
- Symptoms/injuries after skin contact: May cause an allergic skin reaction.
- Symptoms/injuries after eye contact: Risk of serious damage to eyes.
3. Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed: Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
2. Special hazards arising from the substance :
- Fire hazard: Not classified as flammable by EC criteria, but may present a hazard in the event of a fire.
- Hazardous decomposition products in case of fire : Thermal decomposition generates : Carbon oxides (CO, CO2). Nitrogen oxides. Various hydrocarbon fragments.
3. Advice for fire-fighters :
- Precautionary measures fire: Avoid raising powdered material due to explosion hazard. Contain the extinguishing fluids by bunding (the product is hazardous for the environment).
- Protection of fire-fighters: Do not attempt to take action without suitable protective equipment. Self-contained breathing apparatus. Complete protective clothing.
Accidental release measures
- For non-emergency personnel --> Emergency procedures: Avoid contact with skin and eyesprocedures. Do not breathe dust.
- For emergency responders --> Protective equipment: Do not attempt to take action without suitable protective equipment. For further information refer to section "Exposure controls/personal protection" below.
2. Environmental precautions : Contain the spilled material by bunding (product is hazardous for the environment). Do not discharge into the environment
3. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
- Sweep up or vacuum up the product.
- Minimize generation of dust. Wash away residue with large amounts of water.
- Dispose of contaminated materials in accordance with current regulations.
For further information refect to section "Disposal considerations" below
