Description of key information

Based on the highly alkaline pH of the aqueous phenolate solution, called "Phenolates from hydrocarbon resin production" [EC no. 932-728-8], adsorptive properties may be anticipated only when acidic to weakly alkaline conditions prevail, i.e. with the phenols undissociated. Under this condition, the range of logPow may reasonable be between 1.5 and 4, from no to low/moderate adsorptive potential, derived from phenol (approx. 40%, w/w), from mono-styrenated phenols (approx. 8%, w/w), and from cumylphenol (1 -2%, w/w), the latter also representing indanylphenol.
