Description of key information

Additional information

The test substance was not found to be readily biodegradable. Ready biodegradability of the test substance in water was measured by conducting a study in accordance with GLP and OECD Guideline 301 D. This study was considered as reliable with no restrictions and hence used as a key value for hazard assessment and classification and labeling of the substance. Under the conditions of the key study, the test substance was not found to be readily biodegradable. The percentage of biodegradability on the basis of test material analysis was measured to be 35% after 28 days incubation.

There is no information available for biodegradation in soil or sediments. However, these studies were not considered scientifically justified as based on the log Kow (1.8442) and the log Koc values (1.42) of this substance it is not expected to have bioaccumulation or adsorption potential to organic matter or being persistent in the environment.
