Description of key information

The substance is a reaction product of propylidynetrimethanol, propoxylated and Methyl acetoacetate. In the environment, it is expected to undergo aqueous acid-base-catalyzed hydrolysis due to its ester structure. Based on fundamental organic chemistry knowledge , the hydrolysis degradation products should be propydiynetrimethanol, propoxylated (CAS: 25723-16-4) and acetoacetic acid (CAS: 541-50-4). As intermediate the use of the substance is strictly controlled and the exposure to environment is negligible; and hence it is considered unnecessary futher to determine its hydrolysis half-life.
