Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In a study performed on the rotifer Brachionus calyciflorus, the 48h-EC50 and 48h-EC20 of Sodium dodecyl dioxyethylene sulphate were 1.2 mg/L (95% confidence limits = 0.872 – 1.70 mg/L) and 0.97 mg/L (95% confidence limits = 0.460 - 1.23 mg/L) respectively (measured concentrations). As only some experimental data are available, the study is considered as not reliable.

Additional information

One study on chronic toxicity to aquatic invertebrates is available. The chronic toxicity of 22 substances on the rotifer Brachionus calyciflorus was studied under static conditions.

The toxicity data obtained on the Sodium dodecyl dioxyehtylene sulphate, an analogous substance to Dermalcare MAP L-213/S were 48h-EC50 = 1.2 mg/L (95% confidence limits = 0.872 – 1.70 mg/L) and the 48h-EC20 = 0.97 mg/L (95% confidence limits = 0.460 -1.23mg/L). The results are based on measured concentrations.

The study is neither a guideline study nor can it be proven to be GLP compliant. Moreover, no positive control was performed and only some experimental data are available. Therefore the study is considered as not reliable.
