Results and discussion

Partition coefficient
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
1.9
Temp.:
20 °C
Remarks on result:
other: pH not given
Details on results:
Due to the poor solubility of the test substance in water as well as in n-octanol the shake-flask method could not be applied. There is no analytical method available to determine low concentrations of the test substance. The HPLC method according to OECD guideline 117 is also not applicable since the test substance is not soluble in appropriate solvents.
Therefore the partition coefficient was estimated as quotient of the solubility in n-octanol and in water.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The test substance has a log Pow of 1.9.
Executive summary:

The partition coefficient of the test substance was estimated as quotient of the solubility in n-octanol and in water, as its solubility is too low for other log Pow determinations. The test substance has a log Pow of 1.9.
