Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

In case of projection :
- Wash skin with plenty of water and soap, remove the stained clothes.
- Rinse eyes with clear water during at least 15 minutes.
In case of ingestion :
- Rinse mouth thoroughly with water.
- Do not induce vomiting.
In case of inhalation :
- Move the individual away from the polluted area.
- Seek fresh air immediately. If breathing is difficult, get medical attention

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Foam, CO2, Drychemical, Water + additives
To be avoided: Water
Avoid breathing the vapours; if necessary, cool down the closed containers by water aspersion after removing them from fire
area.

Accidental release measures

Discard tissues, sponges, etc... used to absorb the spillings, and destroy by incineration.
Avoid flames and other sources of ignition.
Prevent any seeping into sewers or waterways. Limit the dispersion of the product.
The major spilling must be absorbed with inert materials which should then be swept away and destroyed according to the
regulations in force.

Handling and storage

Do not ingest as such, avoid contact with the product, do not smoke in areas where the product is handled, do not heat with
direct flame or expose the vapours to a flame or any source of ignition.
Handle products in well ventilated areas.
When incorporating the product to then production batch, it must be kept at a relatively low temperature. When the
temperature needs to be increased, it should be done in a limited way and for the shortest possible time.
Do not inhale warm vapours.
Do not store in close proximity to heat, sparks, open flames, strong acids, strong bases.
To minimise product degradation, avoid prolonged exposure of the material to air. Keep container tightly
closed when not in use.
Store in closed containers, away from heat sources, protected from excessive temperature (see technical data sheet). Do not
re-use empty containers.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Respiratory protection : generally not necessary in well ventilated areas (unless specifically mentioned). A respirator is not normally required. If vapor concentration is high use a organic vapour respirator
Eye protection : Safety glasses (EN 166)
Hand protection : Protective gloves (EN 374); Sufficient protection is given wearing suitable protective gloves checked according to i.e. EN 374, in the event of risk of skin contact with the product. Protective gloves shall be replaced immediately when physically damaged or worn. Design operations thus to avoid permanent use of protective gloves.
Skin protection : special clothes.
Ventilation : provide an appropriate ventilation. If necessary, extract vapours directly from the emission source.

Stability and reactivity

Products are stable during their period of optimal use (see technical data sheet) according to handling and storage conditions
Prolonged or excessive heat and/or exposure to air may cause decomposition or oxidation of the material.
Avoid high temperatures and sources of ignition.

Disposal considerations

Prohibit any dispersion in the environment (air, water, ground). Conform to local regulations to remove waste and recipients: it
is recommended to contact an authorised authority.
Always keep original label(s) on empty recipients (drums/pails).
