Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Skin contact : Remove all contaminated clothes and footwear immediately unless stuck to skin. Wash immediately with plenty of soap and water.
Eye contact : Bath the eye with running water for 15 minutes. Consult a doctor.
Ingestion : Refer for medical attention, wher possible without delay. For advice, contact a Poisons information Centre or a doctor.
Inhalation : Remove casualty from exposure ensuring one's own safety whilst doing so. Consult a doctor.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media : Foam. Dry chemical powder. Carbon dioxide. Water spray or fog only for large fires.
Exposure hazards : In combustion emits toxic fumes of carbon dioxide / carbon monoxide / nitrogen oxides / sulfur oxides / other pyrolysis products typical of burning organic materail / may emit poisonous fumes / may emit corrosive fumes.
Advice for fire-fighters : Wear self-containded breathing apparatus. Wear protective clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes.

Accidental release measures

Personal Protective Equipment : Gloves, boots (chemical resistant)
Minor spills : remove all ignition sources, clean-up all spills immediately. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Use dry clean up procedures and avoid generating dust. Place in a suitable, labelled container for waste disposal.
Major spills : Moderate hazards : Adice personnel in area, prevent by any means available spillage from entering drains or water courses. Recover product wherever possible.
Environmental precautions : Do not discharge into drains ou rivers.

Handling and storage

Handling requirements : Avoid all personal contact, including inhalation. Wear protective clothing when risk of exposure occurs. Use in a well ventilated area. Prevent concentration in hollows and sumps. Avoid contact with incompatible materials. Keep containers securely sealed when not in use.
Storage conditions : Store in original container. Keep containers securely sealed. Store in a cool, dry well ventilated area. Keep away from incompatible materials and foodstuff containers.
Suitable packaging material : polyethylene or polypropylene container
Avoid contact with oxidising agents

Exposure controls / personal protection

Engineering measures : Ensure there is sufficient ventilation of the area. Build-up of electrostatic charge on the dust particle, may be prevented by bonding and grounding.
Eye protection : Safety glasses with side shields. Chemical googles. Ensure eye bathb is to hand.
Hand protection : Protective gloves : nitrile rubber, polychloroprene, butyl rubber, fluorocaoutchouc, polyvinyl chloride.
Skin protection : Overalls
Respiratory protection : Respiratory may be necessary when engineering and administrative controls do not adequately prevent exposures. Use approved positive flow mask if significant quantities of dust becomes airborne.
Environmental : Prevent from entering in public sewers or the immediate environment.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity :
Chemical stability : Stable under normal conditions. Avoid presence of incompatible materials. Hazardous polymerisation will occur.
Storage incompatibility : Avoid reaction with oxidising agents.

Disposal considerations

Do not discharge into sewer or waterways.
Waste treatment methods : Disposal operations : Transfer to a suitable container and arrange for collection by specialised disposal company.
Waste treatment methods : Disposal of packaging : Recycle wherever possible. Dispose by incineration in a licensed apparatus.
