Description of key information

The acute toxicity of Diketon to Daphnia magna was investigated in a test according to OECD Guideline 202. After 48 hours of exposure an EC50 of > 87 mg/L was determined. No toxic effect was observed (saturated aqueous solution).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Fresh water invertebrates

Fresh water invertebrates
Effect concentration:
87 mg/L

Additional information

"should read > 87 mg/L"

Diketon does not show any toxic effects on the mobility of Daphnia till the limit of water solubility and therefore no classification is needed basend on this study.
