Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Additional information on results:
No toxic effects, evidenced by a reduction in the number of revertants, occurred in any of
the test groups with and without metabolic activation up to 5000.0 ug/plate.
The plates incubated with the test article showed normal background growth up to
5000.0 ug/plate with and without S9 mix in all strains used.

Reproducible, dose dependent increases in revertant colony numbers were observed in the
strain TA 98 following treatment with test substance in the presence of metabolic activation (S9 mix) in both experiments.

Any other information on results incl. tables

During the described mutagenicity test and under the

experimental conditions reported, the test article did induce gene mutations by frameshifts in

the genome of the strain TA 98.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The test substance is considered to be mutagenic in this Salmonella typhimurium reverse mutation assay.
Executive summary:

Mutagenic in this Salmonella typhimurium reverse mutation assay.
