Description of key information

The melting point of the test item acetophenone fraction was in the range from -33.3 °C to 4.0 °C (240 to 272. 2 K)
These values are the means from two independent determinations.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The melting point of the acetophenone fraction was determined by the capillary method using an aluminium block according to the OECD Guideline No. 102, EU-Method A.1 and GLP. As the test item acetophenone fraction consists of a mixture, a melting range, no melting point is expected. The melting point of the test item acetophenone fraction was in the range from -33.3 °C to 4.0 °C (240 to 272. 2 K). No observations were made which might cause doubts on the validity of the study outcome. Therefore, the result of the study is considered valid.
