Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Interpretation of results:
- GHS criteria not met
- Conclusions:
- The general dust limit is calculated for the short-term exposure, 6 mg/m³ alveoli fraction.
- Executive summary:
Due to its non-toxic properties of crystallyne silica, no data on short-term exposure are available. Consequently, for calculation of the short-term exposure twice of the general dust limit of 3 mg/m³ (alveoli fraction) was used, as recommended by the Ausschuss für Gefahrstoffe.
