Description of key information

Results have been read-across from a suitable structural analogue substance, Fatty acids, C18 unsaturated, reaction products with diethylenetriamine (also referred to a Tall oil diethylenetriamine imidazoline).
There is one report available for this endpoint. The EC50 for microorganisms as observed in a three hour OECD 209 test for 1H-Imidazole-1-ethanamine, 4,5-dihydro-, 2-nortall-oil alkyl derivs. (CAS no 68442-97-7) is 165.2 mg a.i./L and the EC10 is 55.7 mg a.i./L

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for microorganisms:
165.2 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for microorganisms:
55.7 mg/L

Additional information

The results were corrected for their active ingredient content of 94.4%

This result has been read-across from Fatty acids, C18 unsaturated, reaction products with diethylenetriamine (also referred to as Tall oil diethylenetriamine imidazoline). This read-across substance is a starting material in the manufacture of Fatty acids, C18 unsaturated, reaction products with diethylenetriamine, acetate salts, which is a complex mixture of reaction products derived from the neutralisation of fatty acid-diethylenetriamine imidazoline (the read-across substance) with acetic acid. It is therefore considered that the results obtained from studies on Fatty acids, C18 unsaturated, reaction products with diethylenetriamine are suitable to read-across to and for use in the evaluation of Fatty acids, C18 unsaturated, reaction products with pentaethylenehexamine acetate salts (cas 64754 -93 -4).
