Description of key information

The results of the tests conducted for Ni dihydroxide and Ni monoxide were used for read-across to Ni oxyhydroxide.
Testing was conducted according to EU Method A.16 (Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids). Ni monoxide and Ni dihydroxide have been determined not to have a relative self-ignition temperature below 400°C. It is not expected that Ni oxyhydroxide behaves differently with respect to auto flammability.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The self-ignition temperature of Ni oxyhydroxide is considered to be not below 400°C. The results of the tests conducted for Ni dihydroxide and Ni monoxide were used for read-across to Ni oxyhydroxide.
