The acute toxicity of ITTFEP (purity 82.3%) to Daphnia magna was determined in a static GLP compliant test (Maetzler 2001). The test was performed according to guidelines OECD 201 and EU C.2. The test was started with a Control (0), 0.4, 0.9, 1.9, 4.3, 9.4 mg test item/L. Analytical determinations were made after 0 and 48 hours after start of the exposure. The mean measured concentrations were: control, 0.23, 0.44, 0.94, 2.3 and 5.3 mg test item/L, corresponding to mean measured 0.19, 0.36, 0.77, 1.89, 4.36 mg ITTFEP/L. For each test concentration and the control, 2 replicates with 10 daphinds each were set up in 100 mL test solution (250 mL glass vessels). The test was performed in a 16:8 h light dark cycle. Dose-verification analysis was performed and the concentrations were reported as mean measured concentrations. After 48 hours of exposure, 0, 0, 0, 15, 45, and 70 % of the daphnids were immobilized at Control, 0.19, 0.36, 0.77, 1.89, 4.36 mg ITTFEP/L. The corresponding 48 h EC50 value is 2.39 mg ITTFEP /L.

The test was performed with technical product of ITTFEP. This study was performed according to international guidelines and under GLP. Therefore, this study was considered to be Klimisch 1 study.

The obtained results are considered as relevant for the risk assessment.
