Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The fat solubility of the registration substance was determined according to OECD guideline 116 "Fat solubility of solid and liquid substances, Flask Method".

Fat solubility can be used to evaluate the storage or migration potential of the registration substance into biological tissue. Since natural fats and oils will vary in their composition, a customized, synthetic fat is used to standardize results between laboratories. A preliminary test is used to estimate the solubility of the registration substance at 37 degrees centigrade. A definitive test is then used to establish the solubility of the registration substance in standard fat and show the repeatability of the results over a temperature range of 30 degrees centigrade to 50 degrees centigrade and over a period of approximately 3 to 24 hours.

The registration substance was miscible in the standard fat (i.e. solubility = 937 g test substance/kg standard fat).
