Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

With high probability acutely not harmful to fish. No acute toxic effects occur within the range of water solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A GLP guideline according to OECD 203 with zebrafish has been conducted (CIBA-GEIGY Ltd. 1991c). Since the test substance has a very low water solubility an emulsifier has been used. The test substance was homogeneously distributed in the stock solution by mean of NMP, but precipitated when in contact with testwater due to its bad hydrosolubility. This could explain the overall low recoveries found at the start and at the end of exposure. However, no acute toxic effects occurred within the range of water solubility. Additionally, no abnormal effects and symptoms in swimming behaviour, loss of equilibrium, respiratory function, exophtalmus and pigmentation could be observed within all test concentrations up to 96h. Therefore, the test substance is with high probability acutely not harmful to fish.
