Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The hydrolysis behaviour of each peak was followed. The emerging peak was found to be stable at pH 7.0
and 50°C for 94 hours. No further degradation was observed during the preliminary test.
Therefore, no further testing was performed at pH 7.0.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life for hydrolysis:
94 h
at the temperature of:
50 °C

Additional information

FAT40'815/A was found to be stable at pH 4.0 at 50°C. Its half-life time was estimated to be higher than one year at pH 4.0 under representative environmental conditions (25°C). FAT40'815/A was considered to be hydrolytically stable at pH 4.0 At pH 7.0 a specific degradation behaviour was observed. Two main components could be detected in the HPLC-chromatogram. An increasing peak related to a first test item was observed simultaneously with the decrease of the second test item peak. The emerging peak was found to be stable at pH 7.0 and 50°C for 94 hours. At pH 9.0, FAT 40'815/A is unstable. Its half-life time is shorter than one day at 25°C.
