Materials and methods

Test guideline
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.17 (Oxidising Properties (Solids))
Version / remarks:
The supplement of A17 method has been used
Deviations:
not applicable
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Experimental techniques are available for the classification of a substance or preparation as oxidising. There are described in EC Test A17 (solids) and EC Test A21 (liquids).
Test A17 need not to be carried out when examination of the structural formula established beyond reasonable doubt that the substance has no oxidising properties. The supplement to the A17 method describes situations in which experimental assessement of oxidising properties is not necessary.
GLP compliance:
no
Remarks:
Assessement

Any other information on results incl. tables

Assessement results : in every respect of the oxidising solids exemption procedure, NORCAT M does not show any evidence of possessing oxidising properties ; it should be considered as not oxidising and should not be subjected to experimental testing.
