Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes and promptly call for medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove product from skin with dry cloth or towel and wash
exposed area with detergent.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water provided person is conscious.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Call
for medical attention immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide
Product arising from burning: Thermal breakdown of this product during a fire or very high
heat conditions may evolve oxides of carbon and traces of
incompletely burned carbon compounds, silicon dioxide and
oxides of nitrogen.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear eye/face protection and protective clothing
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Shut off all ignition sources. Wear appropriate personal
protective equipment. Contain the spill or leak. Scrape up
with rag or other absorbent material and place in a
container.
Handling and storage
Handling: Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid breathing vapour.
Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Wear suitable
gloves (plastic film or rubber gloves) and eye/face
protection (face shield or protective goggles).
Storage: Keep container closed when not in use. Store in a cool
place. Keep away from heat, sparks and flame. Do not lay
the container on its side. Avoid contact with water or
moisture.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 200L steel drums.

Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: Contact with water, acids or alkalis can cause ethanol and
trimethylsilanol.
Chemical reaction with water: The test substance is rapidly hydrolysed and oligomerised in
contact with water.
Dust explosion: Not applicable as test substance is a liquid.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not known
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Exposure to water will rapidly hydrolyse and ogligomerise
the test substance.
