Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with water

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention, symptomatic treatment

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Combustion products may contain carbon oxides. Suitable

extinguishing agents are water mist, carbon dioxide or

foam. Flammable dust clouds may be formed.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Solids: Sweep up and transfer to waste containers for

disposal at an approved landfill site. Liquid: Absorb using

sand or other suitable medium, sweep up and transfer to

waste containers for disposal at an approved landfill site.

Handling and storage

Handling: Normal standards of good housekeeping to avoid ingestion,

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery is not economically possible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, there is no known chemical treatment to

neutralise the known hazardous property of the substance.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: The substance may be disposed of at an approved landfill

site. Dilution to a concentration of 100 mg/litre or lower

of substance for waste to be discharged to aquatic media

should result in no acute effects to aquatic organisms.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance may be destroyed by incineration at a

temperature in excess of 950 deg C. Waste gas treatment

should be used.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance is unlikely to degrade appreciably under

aerobic conditions. Decolourisation will occur under

anaerobic conditions.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain except as

part of a dyed article.
