First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If breathing is difficult or ceases,

give oxygen or mouth to mouth resuscitaton. Keep warm and at

rest. Obtain medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash thoroughly with water and continue for at least 15

minutes. Seek medical advice.

Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and launder before reuse.

Thoroughly wash all affected  areas with soap and water.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Use carbon dioxide, water, dry powder or foam.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate all personnel from the immediate vicinity and

isolate the affected area.

Wear an air suit or breathing apparatus and impervious

clothing designed to protect the head and skin, rubber or

plastic gloves and boots.

Collect spillage, preferably by vacuum, and place in a

suitably labelled, sealable container for disposal or

recovery. When as much as possible of the spillage has been

collected, flush the spillage site with copious amounts of

water to an effluent drain. If the spilage was in an

enclosed or partially enclosed area, thoroughly ventilate

and test the area before allowing reaccess.

Dispose of waste material in accordance with local

regulations by incineration.

Handling and storage

Handling: Substance is used in enclosed plant with a suitable local

exhaust ventilation. An air suit, gloves and rubber boots

are worn when this substance is handled.

Storage: Store at or below ambient temperature in a dry dark place

(e.g.in double polyethylene bags inside closed and labelled

keg). Keep containers tightly closed when not in use.

Whenever possible hydroxy acid should be used in enclosed

plant fitted with suitable exhaust ventilation.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: CCI11400 is packaged in double polyethylene bags inside a

keg.
