Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Rest the patient and seek

medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash eyes under running water for 15 minutes with eyelids

open.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Give patient plenty of water to drink.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam or dry powder may be used.

Product arising from burning: Combustion products may contain carbon and nitrogen oxides,

hydrogen fluoride, hydrogen chloride and hydrogen cyanide.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing

should be worn. When handling residue from fires, protect

the skin and eyes and wear respiratory protection.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear protective clothing (see 2.3.1). Clean up spilt

material by mechanical means, if necessary with the addition

of sawdust or similar absorbent material. Dispose of waste

material by incineration at an authorised facility.

Handling and storage

Handling: Use engineering controls where possible to minimise

exposure. For transfer operations, contact with skin and

eyes is to be avoided. Protective glasses or a gas mask

should be worn. Suitable protective clothing is a two-piece

suit made of rubber or textile material or commercially

available disposable protective suits (which should be

disposed of in a proper manner). Soiled clothing is to be

washed properly before reuse.

Storage: Store according to "Fire Protection in Crop Protection Agent

Stores" by the IVA (German Pesticide Manufacturers

Association). Do not store with foodstuffs, animal feed,

pharmaceuticals or cosmetics.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The substance is supplied packed in a 120 litre plastic drum

with an inner polyethylene lining.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recycling of contaminated material is possible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No method known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method, incinerate at an approved facility.

Waste gas treatment should be used to remove nitrogen

oxides, hydrogen chloride and hydrogen fluoride gas.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended. However, if necessary the substance may be

eliminated from waste water using suitable absorption

agents.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not possible.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, no method known.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method. An approved facility with waste gas

treatment to remove nitrogen oxides, hydrogen chloride and

hydrogen fluoride gas should be used.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended. However, if necessary the substance may be

eliminated from waste water by using suitable absorption

agents.
