Additional information

The short-term toxicity to fish of the test material was examined using rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss. Following a preliminary range-finding test, fish were exposed, in groups of seven, to Water Accommodated Fractions (WAFs) of the test material over a range of nominal loading rates of 100, 180, 320, 560 and 1000 mg/L for a period of 96 hours at a temperature of approximately 14 °C under semi-static test conditions.

The study was conducted according to the OECD 203 and EU Method C.1 guidelines. The study was conducted to GLP standard, in a certified laboratory. The study is assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with Klimisch et. al. (1997).

The 96-hour LL50 based on nominal loading rates was 130 mg/L loading rate WAF with 95 % confidence limits of 100 - 180 mg/L loading rate WAF. The No Observed Effect Loading rate was 100 mg/L loading rate WAF.
