Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The substance falls into soil hazard category 3 (REACH guidance chapter R7c Table R.7.11-2), as it is not readily biodegradable and there are no indications that the substance is very acutely toxic to aquatic organisms (lowest EC/LC50 > 1 mg/L). Therefore, a confirmatory long-term soil toxicity test is required, and a confirmatory long-term toxicity study on earthworms (OECD 222) has been performed. The EC10 on reproduction has been determined to be 28.4 mg/kg soil dw. As required by R.10 - Characterisation of dose [concentration]-response for environment, the PNECsoil is derived from the equilibrium partitioning method (EPM) and from the available EC10 value on earthworm with an assessment factor of 100. The lowest PNECsoil will then be used in the risk assessment. The PNEC using the EPM is 0.243 mg/kg soil dry wet, and the PNEC derived from the earthworm test is 0.284 mg/kg soil dry wet. Therefore the PNEC using the EPM is chosen for the risk assessment.
