Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: If high concentrations of the dusts have been inhaled, the
person should be taken into the fresh air and kept still and
warm. If there is difficulty in breathing, medical
attention should be obtained.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Hold the eyes open and rinse with preferably lukewarm water
for a sufficiently long period of time (at least
10 minutes). Contact an ophthalmologist.
Emergency measure - Skin: In case of skin contact wash afflicted areas thoroughly with
soap and plenty of water. Consult a doctor in the event of
a skin reaction.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: DO NOT induce the patient to vomit, medical advice is
required.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, foam, extinguishing powder, in cases
of larger fires, water spray should be used.
Product arising from burning: Formation of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and other toxic
gases in the event of fire or during thermal decomposition.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Firemen must wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Put on protective equipment. Ensure adequate
ventilation/exhaust ventilation. Keep unauthorized persons
away. Prevent formation of explosive dust-air mixtures.
Avoid formation and deposition of dust. Use mechanical
handling equipment. Fill into labelled, sealable containers.
Handling and storage
Handling: All work processes must always be designed so that exposure
to the substance by inhalation and skin contact is as low as
possible. Eye contact with the substance must be avoided.
The substance should only be handled in closed plant or
systems.
During filling, metering and sampling use equipment with
local exhaust ventilation.
Dust must be extracted directly at the point of origin.
The extracted air may only be returned to the working area
after sufficient cleaning using tested equipment.
Respiratory protection: If product forms dust wear dust-
protection mask.
Hand protection: Suitable materials for safety gloves; DIN
EN 374-3: nitrile rubber - NBR (>= 0.35 mm). Breakthrough
time not tested; dispose of immediately after contamination.
Eye protection: Wear eye/face protection.
Skin and body protection: Wear suitable protective clothing.
Hygiene measures: Keep away from foodstuffs, drinks and
tobacco. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday.
Keep working clothes separately. Change contaminated
clothing.
Storage: Keep container dry and tightly closed in a cool and well
ventilated place.
VCI storage class (VCI = German Association of the Chemical
Industry): 11.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Substance:
PE - bag or steel drums with double PE-inliner - with 1, 20
or 25 kg filling weight.
Preparation:
PE - bag or drums with or without double PE-inliner - with
1, 10, 60 or 200 kg filling weight.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Protection of workers - Threshold value in air defined by TRGS 900 (MAK value): General limiting value of dust - 3 mg fine dust per m³ air (measured as the alveolar aerosol content) (see TRGS 900 for exemption provisions)
Respiratory protection:
If product forms dust wear dust-protection mask.
Hand protection:
Suitable materials for safety gloves; DIN EN 374-3: nitrile rubber - NBR (>= 0.35 mm). Breakthrough time not tested; dispose of immediately after contamination.
Eye protection:
Wear eye/face protection.
Skin and body protection:
Wear suitable protective clothing.
Hygiene measures:
Keep away from foodstuffs, drinks and tobacco. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday. Keep working clothes separately. Change contaminated clothin
Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: None
Chemical reaction with water: None
Dust explosion: The substance is a powder which may have a certain dust
content but the chemical nature would suggest that a dust
explosion is improbable.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Dispose at a suitable waste incineration plant in accordance
with the official regulations.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The new substance is an intermediate for industrial use only
and will not occur in public at large.
