Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: EU guideline compliant expert statement, prepared by a recognized contract research organization, no restrictions, fully adequate for assessment.
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Structural Group Evaluation and Oxygen Balance Calculation for the compounds of the test material were performed.
GLP compliance:
no

Sample tested:
other: expert statement
Parameter:
other: expert statement
Remarks on result:
other: WS400402 demonstrates no propensity towards oxidising properties

Evaluation of the main listed compounds for structural alerts indicates that the substance has no concern for oxidising properties. Furthermore, assessment of calculated oxygen balance for the predicted substances within the composition also indicate that the substance has no concerns for oxidising properties (see list in endpoint study record 4.14).

Interpretation of results:
other: no oxidising properties
Conclusions:
As there are no structural alerts associated with oxidising properties for the constituent molecules, it is concluded overall that the substance demonstrates no propensity towards oxidising properties. No further study to investigate this endpoint is proposed to be required.

Description of key information

Method: Evaluation of the main compounds for structural alerts, assessment of calculated oxygen balance

Results: The substance is a UVCB material containing five main components. None of them obtain structural alerts. Oxygen balance calculations indicate that the substance has no concerns for oxidising properties.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
non oxidising

Additional information

As there are no structural alerts associated with oxidising properties for the constituent molecules, it is concluded overall that the substance demonstrates no propensity towards oxidising properties. No further study to investigate this endpoint is proposed to be required.
