General Information

Name:
Self-classification of reaction product of soluble nickel salt, cobalt salt, manganese salt with alkalines
Implementation:
EU
Remarks:
This self-classification for transported isolated intermediate is done based on the CLP rules for mixtures. Following issues were considered:
1)  Elements were linked to composition information section 1.2.
2) Constituents in the intermediate were linked to classification entries. Those constituents were regarded which has classification entries as compounds.
Other constituents with no classification entries were regarded as having same classifications as hydroxides or oxides.
3)  Weight percentages of the classified constituents themselves were calculated from the corresponding typical elemental percentages
4)  Classification rules for mixtures were applied
5) Self-classification was done regarding that the intermediate is fine powder; i.e. 100 % of the particles smaller than 0.1 mm
6) Environmental hazard was based on the water solubility tested for the intermediate (see water solubility results in section 4).
