Fluometuron dissipates from the water phase by slow adsorption to soil, which is indicated by low adsorption coefficients (in maximum 80). In the experiments reported here, the sorption and desorption data indicate that fluometuron does not bind strongly to soil and may have a potential to leach.

In water only small solubility of 0.111 g/L was found indicating a small release factor from Fluometuron into water pathways.
