Results and discussion

Water solubility
Key result
Water solubility:
>= 2 000 g/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Remarks on result:
completely miscible
Remarks:
In the test, 1g of test item was completely solved in 0.5 ml water. Further remarks see details on results.
Details on results:
According to the guideline a saturate solution of the test item in water has to be prepared for the determination of the water solubility. Within the 2nd experiment the test item was completely solved in 0.5 ml water. A preparation of a higher concentrated mixture was technical not applicable, because the ratio of the volume of the test item in comparison to the volume of water has to be so high, that no phase separation could be observed.
Based on these technical facts the miscibility of 1,2,6-Hexantriol was estimated to be > 2 kg/L.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The miscibility of 1,2,6-Hexantriol was estimated to be > 2 kg/L.
