Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS:
Inhalation: May be harmful if inhaled. Causes respiratory tract irritation.
Skin: May be harmful if absorbed through skin. Causes skin irritation.
Eye: Causes eye irritation.
Ingestion: May be harmful if swallowed.
General Advice: Consult a physician. Show material safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance. Move out of dangerous area.
Inhalation: Move affected person to fresh air. If not breathing give artificial respiration. Consult a physician.
Skin Contact: Wash off with soap and plenty of water. Do not use organic solvents. Consult a physician.
Eye Contact: Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and consult a physician.
If Swallowed: Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Rinse mouth with water. Consult a physician. Do not induce vomiting because of risk of aspiration into the lungs. If aspiration is suspected, obtain immediate medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Flammable Properties: Flash point - no data available. Ignition temperature - no data available.
Fire and Explosion Hazards: Smoke, fumes, oxides of carbon.
Suitable Extinguishing Media: Use water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.
Special Protective Equipment for Fire-Fighters: Wear self contained breathing apparatus for fire fighting if necessary.
Accidental release measures
Personal Precautions: Use personal protective equipment. Avoid dust formation. Avoid breathing dust. Ensure adequate ventilation.
Environmental Precautions: Do not let product enter drains.
Large Spills: Clean up all spills immediately. Avoid inhalation of dust and contact with skin and eyes. Avoid generation of dust during clean up (use dustless methods such as vacuums). Incinerate or place in a suitable container for disposal by a licensed contractor. (Follow all local and national regulations).
Small Spills: Sweep up or vaccum and place into a sealable container for disposal while wearing personal protective equipment.
Handling and storage
Handling: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid formation of dust and aerosols. Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at places where dust is formed. Normal measures for preventative fire protection. Keep container closed. Do not eat, drink or smoke at the workplace.
Storage: Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Keep in a dry place. Store in the original container securly under cool and dry conditions. Avoid contact with peroxides and oxidising agents.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Contains no substance with occupational exposure limits.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
Respiratory Protection: Where risk assessment shows air-purifying respirators are appropriate use a dusk mask type P1 (EN 143) respirator. Use respirators and components tested and approved under appropriate government standards, such as CEN.
Hand Protection: Handle with gloves.
Eye Protection: Safety glasses or splash goggles. Contact lenses should not be worn.
Skin and Body Protection: Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the workplace. Chemical protection suits and gloves advised.
Hygiene Measures: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Wash hands before all breaks and at the end of the work day.
Stability and reactivity
Stability: Stable under normal pressure and temperature.
Storage Stability: Stable under recommended storage conditions.
Materials to Avoid: Strong oxidising agents.
Conditions to Avoid: Fire source.
Hazardous Decomposition Products: Hazardous decomposition products formed under fire conditions - Carbon oxides.
Disposal considerations
Product: Observe all local and national environmental regulations. Contact a licensed professional waste disposal service to dispose of this material.
Contaminated Packaging: Dispose of as unused product.
