Temperature Data

The temperatures which were measured in the experiment are presented in the following table. As more than 100 values were recorded, only the values every 60 minutes (until an ignition of the test item have been detected) are presented.

Results and Discussion

At the temperature of 323.5 °C an increase in the temperature of the sample to 400 °C in comparison to that of the oven was detected; also signs of ignition could be observed. The test item is considered as:

auto-flammable at 323.5 °Cunder the test conditions.

The test item was completely carbonized at the end of the experiment.

No observations were made which might cause doubts concerning the validity of the study outcome.

Deviations

Deviations from the Study Plan and the Guideline

The following deviation from study plan and guideline EU method A.16 was stated: The heating rate of the oven over the complete heating range was 0.56 K/min. instead of 0.5 K/min. This was considered as uncritical as the deviation is minimal.
